"Amaya" Reigns in AGB Nielsen Mega Manila Ratings (Nov 22-24)

GMA-7's Marian Rivera-starrer Amaya was a consistent top-rater in both the People and Household Ratings of AGB Nielsen in Mega Manila. ABS-CBN's Gerald Anderson-starrer Budoy, on the other hand, was at numbers 3 and 4 in the People Ratings, and 4 and 5 in the Household Ratings.

Ikaw ay Pag-ibig, which just premiered last Monday and stars the child wonders Zaijian Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, Louise Abuel and Mutya Orquia, didn't register well in Mega Manila. Perhaps it would do better in the coming weeks as Xyriel (who was a hit in the recently-concluded 100 Days to Heaven) is introduced into the story.

Watch the Official Full Trailer of "Won't Last a Day Without You"

Star Cinema and Viva Films has released the official full trailer of Won't Last a Day Without You. The movie is the second team-up of Gerald Anderson and Sarah Geronimo and will be shown on November 30, 2011.

image

Directed by Raz Dela Torre, supporting cast include Joey de Leon, John Lapus, Martin del Rosario, Megan Young, Niña Dolino, Marlann Flores, Cheska Ortega, Young JV, Lui Villaruz, Jommy Teotico and Yam Concepcion.

It was originally set for release on November 23rd but was moved to a later date. My hunch is that they want to avoid The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 which started showing last week and is doing so well in the box office. You have to bear waiting on long lines (especially last weekend) even at the malls that have allotted three to four cinemas for Breaking Dawn alone.

I'm sure, though, that fans of Sarah and the Kimerald would do what they can to make this movie another hit. Facebook threads even say that fans would make this surpass the record reached by Praybeyt Benjamin, which is to date the highest grossing Pinoy film of all time.
