KC Concepcion Confirms Break-Up with Piolo Pascual

image

KC couldn't say the reason for the break-up. She explained it by saying, "may mga bagay na parang hindi ko na kayang lunukin, hindi ko na kaya 'yon tanggapin..." The megadaughter also admitted that she's angry but wouldn't elaborate more on why she's angry and what were the things/facts that she couldn't accept. "Hindi ko masabi kasi, e. Hindi ko talaga Tito Boy masabi sa kahit na sinong tao kung ano'ng nangyari. Hindi ko talaga pwedeng sabihin."

Does Marquez's Constant Stepping on Pacquiao's Foot a Form of Cheating?

Some supporters of the boxing champ and Saranggani congressman Manny Pacquiao said Juan Manuel Marquez tried to cheat during their recent fight last November 12 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Although Pacquiao was declared the winner, his fans said the Mexican boxer was constantly stepping on Manny's right foot and it was the reason why Manny wasn't able to perform well at the match.

image

But according to boxing analysts, there's no way Marquez's stepping on Manny's foot could hamper the Pinoy boxer. Recah Trinidad, sports columnist of the Philippine Daily Inquirer, said that the reason why Pacquiao wasn't able to perform as expected was because of the adjustment that he didn't do.

"... 'Yung adjustment na hindi ginawa Pacquiao na out-punch na sila hindi pa rin sila gumagawa ng paraan para kontrahin 'yun... obviously hindi sila handa dun," Trinidad told ABS-CBN's TV Patrol.

Even Manny's coach, Freddie Roach, said stepping on someone's foot is very common when southpaws face right handed people.

Anne Curtis "Prevented" by GMA-7 to Get on Stage at the USTv Awards Kick-off

Anne Curtis was supposed to perform at the USTv Students' Choice Awards* kick-off last night but according to the Showtime host, she was prevented by GMA-7 staff to even come up the stage to say hi.

image

Before the controversial incident happened, the No Other Woman star took to Twitter to express her excitement over performing a song that she would be singing live for the first time.

A few minutes later, she posted several tweets saying that the staff of GMA-7 prevented her to sing. She also posted that she even negotiated and said that she will just say hi and not sing anymore, but they still prevented her from going up the stage.

Anne further explained that GMA-7 didn't say she can't sing on the event, they just didn't want her to go on the stage before the Kapuso talents. The thing was, Anne said she arrived there ahead of the said talents.

PEP, though, has another version of the story. Their source, who was at the venue at the time of the incident, told them that Anne Curtis arrived around 8 PM while most of the Kapuso stars had been at the venue since 5 PM. The GMA-7 talents weren't able to go on stage immediately because of other performers who cut into the lineup.

Celebrities cutting into the lineup are normal in events like these. Celebrities who need to go back to their taping immediately or those who had other commitments are allowed to cut in.

It was true that Anne asked the GMA-7 staff to let her come up on stage at that moment to even just say hi but, of course, the said staff would prioritize their talents first who had been there since late that afternoon and whose performances had already been delayed due to several other cut ins.

But as it turned out, Anne left and didn't wait for her turn on the stage anymore because she had another commitment that night. She needed to get to a rehearsal for her guesting on the concert of Side A and Martin Nievera which is happening tonight at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"Aquino Cojuangco: Facts They Dont Want You To Know HD" [Viral Video]

"Aquino Cojuangco: Facts They Dont Want You To Know HD" is a YouTube video that is going viral. Uploaded just last October 21, it already has 85,070 as of this posting.

image

It narrates the story of how the Cojuangcos got their wealth, how they acquired the Azucarera and Hacienda Luisita, and how they kept the hacienda to themselves despite their agreement with the government of distributing it to the farmers after 10 years.

It's such an interesting video to watch. It even names the critics of the Cojuangcos that were killed and says that ABS-CBN and Inquirer cover up the truth about the Cojuangcos.

The video even shows a backmask of Ninoy Aquino's campaign jingle where words like "Pinas sunugin ng pabahagya" and "Noypi bihag" among others can be heard.

Watch the video after the jump.

More Witness Statements Bolster Ramona Bautista as Suspect to Ram Revilla's Murder

Ram Revilla was laid to rest on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, but the results of the police investigations seem to be unacceptable for the Revilla clan.

The investigation links Ram's siblings Ramon Joseph and Ramona Mara Bautista to the murder of the young actor.

The statement from Ram's girlfriend Janelle Manahan bolstered police theories that Ramona was involved in the incident.

According to Janelle, who is currently recovering at the Asian Hospital, it was past 11 PM when Ramona knocked on Ram's bedroom to get a video from his brother. After Ramona entered the room, a man wearing a Halloween mask, army green jacket and holding a gun with silencer followed her inside. He fired the gun twice at Ram.

Janelle also recounted the fact that she heard Ramona shout "Tama na! Tama na!" while the gunman was firing the gun. Those shouted words raised some questions. Was it shouted pleadingly or authoritatively?

Janelle, who sustained gunshot wounds on the left side of her face, further said that she told Ramona to call for help. Ramona allegedly said she was rattled and instead called her brother Joseph. The brother, though, wouldn't answer the call. Then Ramona allegedly left the room to get help.

The statements of Ram Revilla's production assistant did not help Ramona as well. The PA, who was in Ram's house that night, said that through his window, he saw Ramona and Joseph casually leave the house on foot. That same statement was supported by the subdivision's guard who said he saw a familiar male face and Ramona walk out of the subdivision gate.

Those statements were in contrast to that of Ramona's who told the police she was kidnapped by the killers and was eventually dropped off in front of a Las Piñas mall.

"When we started to piece all these information together, all the circumstances together, e nakakalungkot po talaga na talagang nagli-lead po doon sa close family members," said Sr. Supt. Billy Beltran.

Aside from being named by witness Ruel Puzon as the mastermind of the crime, Joseph was also pointed at by the other two arrested suspects. Two BF Homes guards also saw Joseph in front of the house and walking out of the subdivision with his sister Ramona near midnight of October 28.

Cellphones of the suspects were also in the hands of the authorities. The police examined the suspects' exchange of messages during and after the crime. The police said the text message about the said P19,000 downpayment of Joseph to the gunmen were still there.

Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Speak Up Regarding the State of Their Relationship

Shaina Magdayao and John Lloyd Cruz's interview with Boy Abunda was aired on The Buzz yesterday. The two have been in the news as of late due to rumors that they've already separated, plus that text message issue between Shaina and John Lloyd's ex-girlfriend, Ruffa Gutierrez.

image

But before the text incident happened, it can be recalled that there was another cellphone incident earlier this year where Shaina allegedly called Ruffa in the wee hours of the night regarding John Lloyd. The young actress admitted the incident saying she called Ruffa because "... gusto kong paratingin sa kanya na kaya ako tumatawag sa 'yo kasi nabasa ko 'yong text mo [to John Lloyd] so sana 'wag ka nang mag-text ulit."

After that incident, Ruffa allegedly said she was going to stay away and not bother Shaina and John Lloyd anymore. But "it was so clear na hindi sya tumutupad sa sarili n'yang salita," Shaina told Boy, referring to the recent text Ruffa sent John Lloyd after Vina's after-birthday concert party.

At that second cellphone incident, Shaina didn't deny as well that she texted Ruffa back using John Lloyd's cellphone. "I told her to leave us alone gaya ng gusto kong sabihin sa kanya the first time that I called her. This time I want to be straight-forward na."

On the question of the state of their relationship, John Lloyd said they're on the point of acknowledging that they are going through a tough time and they both know what they need to do. He clarified, though, that Ruffa wasn't the cause of what their relationship is going through. "Wala sa kalingkingan ng kahit na sinong babae ang totoong dahilan ng pinagdadaanan namin ngayon. Hindi 'yong perception ng tao ang dahilan... Ako ang magsasabi kung sino o ano 'yong totoong dahilan – mga sarili namin. Masyadong malalim, masyadong personal."

Although they agreed that they both have personal issues, John Lloyd admitted that he is the one with more things that need to resolve within himself.

Shaina was the only one scheduled for interview that day, but John Lloyd offered to be interviewed as well because he doesn't like how things are going anymore. "... Kasi nababastusan na ako, e. Nao-offend na ako. Nababastusan na ako do'n sa mga nakikisali, sa mga nakikisawsaw sa pinagdadaanan namin. 'Yon pong pinagdadaanan namin bilang magkarelasyon... parang hindi ko kayang hayaan na tapak-tapakan, bastusin... Gusto kong protektahan whatever is left of this relationship... We may be having problems now pero hindi ibig sabihin e tatahimik na lang kami at hahayaan kong bastusin n'yo kung ano 'yong natitira sa relasyon namin... Hindi ko na kayang maupo lang tapos hayaan sila pagpyestahan at i-direct 'yong utak ng karamihan ng mga manonood sa isang bagay na hindi naman totoo, sa isang bagay na wala namang halaga sa amin."

The interview ended with Boy asking, "Parating sinasabi ng mga tao, for as long as there is love, dapat ilaban, is that where you are." To which John Lloyd answered, "'Yong ano muna, sarili. Kung hindi mo mahal 'yong sarili mo, parang mahirap magmahal."

Claudine Barretto Seen Crying Inside a Bank

Iglot lead star Claudine Barretto attracted some attention when she was seen crying inside a bank in Quezon Avenue earlier today due to "missing" funds in her account.

image

The actress, though, wouldn't talk on camera. She told the media to just ask her lawyer, Atty. Agnes Maranan, instead.

According to the lawyer, they arrived at the bank about 11 AM this morning to withdraw cash. They were able to confirm the money was still in the account. The processing of the withdrawal was taking so long, though, and after about thirty minutes, they were informed that the money has already been withdrawn through an inter-branch withdrawal.

The money was in a joint account in the name of Claudine and husband Raymart Santiago. It was an and/or account which means that either of them can make transactions even without the presence of the other.

"I was able to confirm from the teller that the funds were still there and then suddenly, about 40 minutes or 30 minutes later, wala na 'yong funds," the lawyer said.

The bank wouldn't comment on the incident. GMA-7 has also been trying to reach Raymart Santiago but the actor hasn't issued a statement yet.

John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao Break Up

It has been all over the local blogs that John Lloyd Cruz and Shaina Magdayao have called it quits. Although the details about the break-up are still vague, names of John Lloyd's exes – actress/host Ruffa Gutierrez and celebrity stylist Liz Uy – have been dragged along in the issue.

Shaina's seemingly over possessiveness had been pointed as what has caused the break-up. Her jealousy over Ruffa has allegedly ignited again during the birthday concert Vina Morales, Shaina's older sister.

Being Vina's bestfriend, Ruffa attended the event. John Lloyd was also there as the boyfriend of Shaina who, aside from being the sister of the celebrant, was also one of the performers.

After the event, Shaina allegedly started texting Ruffa again with not so nice messages using John Lloyd's mobile phone. According to reports, the young actress even told Ruffa to leave her and John Lloyd alone.

The alleged break-up was even confirmed by an article published by PEP this morning.

The couple has already been rumored to have broken up numerous times. But with John Lloyd describing his lovelife as "boring" a few weeks back, and then being quoted as saying, "To be honest, hindi maayos 'yong mga bagay-bagay ngayon," has the couple really called it over for real?

Carlos Agassi Admits Gay Relationship

Carlos Agassi has admitted that he had a relationship with a gay man for about a year during his teens.

image

He made the revelation during a press conference for Praybeyt Benjamin, a movie about a gay man who joined the military for his father. And since it was the subject of the movie, questions to the male cast about homosexual relationships popped up.

Carlos was honest enough to admit that he indeed had a relationship with a discreet gay when he was 17 or 18 years old. He said he learned a lot in the relationship and that it made him a better person.

The hunky actor also shared that he was the one courted. He liked the gay man's company and that's what mattered for him. And when you enjoy each other's company, "Sex follows," he added.

Just like any other relationships, they had their share of good and bad moments, and quarrels that eventually led to a break-up.

He has come to respect his partner, and although not together anymore, they talk like old friends when they bump into each other.

Forum threads were making wild guesses with regards to the identity of the gay man Carlos was referring to. The name of an ABS-CBN executive popped up but, of course, we have no way of knowing that for sure.

Meanwhile, it wasn't only Carlos Agassi who made a revelation. Veteral actor Eddie Garcia also shared that he had a relationship with a gay man when he was about fifteen years old. Young and adventurous, he wanted to try things. "Kailangan lahat ng bagay sa mundo, kailangan mong subukan," the respected actor said.

Miss Asia Pacific is a Joke?

How did Venezuela win first runner-up for the talent competition without doing the talent round? That's the big question at the Miss Asia Pacific being held in Korea.

Misses Wales, Guyana and Puerto Rico left the pageant to go home due to some questionable things happening in the pageant. They were held "hostage," though, by the pageant organizers by getting their bags.

The organizers allegedly promised Miss Wales that she'd win in the competition if she wouldn't leave, making the pageant a fraud.

Watch the videos below. It documents the contestants' argument with the organizers at the hotel and at the airport.

The bigger question is, is this the first time something like this happened in a beauty pageant? Or are the girls just bribed by money and winning so none of them have spoken out until now?

Just asking!

Did PNoy Smoke on PAL Plane During 14-Hour Flight?

Not only is President Noynoy Aquino being talked about because of his ex-girlfriend's upcoming wedding, he is also the talk-of-the-town for allegedly smoking during his 14-hour return flight from San Francisco to Manila on Philippine Airlines flight PR 104.

Limp-wristed
Jojo A. Robles
Manila Standard Today

One of the good things about being President is that you get to bend the rules in your favor, Noynoy Aquino is finding out. Take that very strictly imposed ban on smoking in a commercial airliner, for example.

We’ve been told that during his recent 14-hour return flight on Philippine Airlines flight PR 104 from San Francisco to Manila, Aquino was allowed to smoke in violation of international and local aviation regulations. The feat was pulled off on the PAL 747-400 jumbo jet by simply preventing anyone to go up the upper, first-class deck of the plane (where Aquino was) through the stairs while the President smoked.

However, because the passenger areas of the plane do not really have exhaust vents to remove the scent of tobacco smoke, the smell could not be kept from the other people below. That’s how the other passengers got a whiff (pun intended) of what was going on—including the smokers on board who were displaying the symptoms of full-blown nicotine withdrawal syndrome but who were, unfortunately, not President.

Those who were on the flight could have sworn that Aquino wasn’t the only one smoking. They surmised that the people with Aquino lit up, as well, just to ensure that their boss wouldn’t be breaking civil aviation regulations all by himself.

Health, safety (depending on the stage of the airplane’s trip) and anti-terrorist considerations prohibit smoking in commercial aircraft, of course. But when you’re the chain-smoking President flying the nation’s flag carrier on a long trans-Pacific flight, the skies can be unbelievably friendly.
