Is Ryan Bang Leaving the Philippines?

Will Ryan Bang leave his television career in the Philippines to go back to Korea?

Ryan Bang went to the country to join Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash of 2010 where he won 2nd Teen Big Placer. He was one of the lucky few from his batch that was given an opportunity by ABS-CBN  by giving him television projects.

He was most loved, though, during his 48-week stay in Showtime as a hurado (judge). His eviction was one of the most emotional moments of the show because he has grown to love his Showtime family and vice versa.

In an interview with Toni Gonzaga on The Buzz, Ryan said he doesn't feel bad with those who voted him out and that he's really thankful that he was able to stay that long on Showtime. He also thanks the mainstays of the talent show who still treats him as part of the family even after he was evicted as judge.

And on the big question of his leaving his showbiz career to go back to Korea, Ryan was a little surprised, even asking Toni who told them that.

Ryan told The Buzz that he will be leaving for Korea in December for a vacation with his Banana Split co-stars Melai Cantiveros and Jason Francisco. But the comedian assured televiewers of the show that he will definitely be coming back.

He even added that he loves the Philippines even when the time comes that he will not be in showbiz anymore.

Aside from Banana Split, Ryan Bang is currently promoting his recording album titled I Lilly Lilly Like It: Ryan Bang Party Party Hits!

Ryan Bang is Not Going Back to Showtime

Despite the effort made by Dimples Romana by giving her judge's seat to the evicted Showtime judge Ryan Bang, the show's management decided to respect the decision of the voting public by following the outcome of the poll.

In a recent statement made by Showtime director Direk Bobet on Monday, October 10, he said that the rules of elimination doesn't allow another judge to give his/her seat to the eliminated hurado just to make him/her stay longer in the talent show.

Much to the sadness of Ryan Bang's fans, the Filipino-Korean remains burado and will not be seen on the show for the meantime. But, of course, they could always call him back on the show for whatever purpose.

Dimples didn't come back today as judge. As she said last Saturday, she was supposed to leave that day but she just postponed it to give the stage to Ryan (so they knew it beforehand). She sent a letter that was read by the show's director where she apologized for whatever misunderstanding she might have caused by giving her seat to Ryan (which didn't happen, anyway).

Jong Hilario was back on his seat. He's been getting the lowest votes which means the viewers really like him to stay.

New judges include the Malaysian superstar Carmen Su, Philippine Volcanoes players Eric Tai and Chris Everingham, and Luis Manzano. Carmen and Luis have been judges before while it's the first time for the footballers.

Ryan Bang Gets Burado, Was Saved By Dimples Romana

Update: Ryan Bang is Not Going Back to Showtime

Ryan Bang got evicted as Showtime judge (hurado) earlier today, October 8, 2011.

It was such an emotional episode as the Filipino-Korean comedian, Ryan Bang, was evicted as a judge of the talent show via text and live audience votes. After forty-eight (48) weeks of being in Showtime, the hosts and staff of the show have already come to love the young and vibrant actor that's why everyone, including the live audience, felt so sad and cried on the result of the eviction.

Even us, at home watching the show, couldn't help but feel lumps in our throats.

Good news for those who love Ryan, though. Dimples Romana another Showtime judge and a tough contender for being hurado, gave up her place through voluntary eviction just so Ryan may continue being in the show.
