Mo Twister is Leaving the Philippines

Mo Twister is leaving the Philippines for good to live in New York. This afternoon's episode of Paparazzi was his last television appearance.

The reason for his leaving the country and his TV/radio career was something that he couldn't say. He assured, though, that the reason wasn't a girl.

About that "reason," Mo told Cristy Fermin that it's something he has "been trying to overcome in the past year... something that Rhian and I have been trying to overcome together..."

Cristy, trying to get more out of Mo and who obviously had her own idea of what it was Mo was referring to, asked, "Nakokonsens'ya ba kayo?" To which Mo replied with, "Ayokong sabihin na 'kayo' because Rhian is her own person and I am my own person. Basta, I'm in a dark, dark place. I'm in a dark place."

Mo further said that it wouldn't have affected him if he wasn't in his right frame of mind but each one of us has different values instilled in us and that "something" was against his values that's why he's leaving.

He's not sure how long he would be gone, or how long it would take him to heal.

The two had worked together in the past. They topbilled the movie Nagbabagang Luha in the 80s with Gabby Concepcion and Richard Gomez. This TV5 series can be considered as their reunion movie 23 years after.

Set to premiere this November, Glamorosa also stars Zoren Legaspi as the man Lorna and Alice's characters will both love. According to Alice, she will play the role of a "scheming bitch" to Lorna's bida role, a contrast to her Babaeng Hampaslupa's "goody" character.

Gelli de Belen Hosts "Gellicious"

TV5 welcomes the newest addition to their pool of talents, Gelli de Belen. She will be hosting a show in the network's morning block titled Gellicious, which will premiere on October 25. The title was obviously patterned after her name, making the show only hers.

Gelli de Belen used to host the the defunct GMA-7 morning show Sis with her sister Janice de Belen and Carmina Villaroel. The Kapuso network decided to end the show with the rise of Showtime as majority of the televiewers favored the talent show more.

Janice was the first to transfer networks. She's now in ABS-CBN and is on the advocacy series Budoy. Carmina, on the other hand, remained in GMA-7 as she is given acting projects by the network. She is currently in the afternoon drama Pahiram ng Isang Ina.

With Gellicious, Gelli de Belen will still be doing what we loved seeing her in for quite a number of years in Sis - hosting a morning show. Although her new show seems to be focused on food alone, it will really be a delight to watch and hear Gelli again on weekday mornings.

Gellicious is going to hit TV5's morning block soon!
